Fardowsa Ibrahim

CEO

provides visionary leadership and strategic direction as CEO. With strong expertise in organizational management and community-focused services, she oversees operations and ensures the company’s mission is carried out with integrity and impact.

AHMED YUSUF

General Manager

oversees day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and compliance management. With broad experience in health and human services, licensing, and business development, he ensures organizational efficiency and growth while supporting both staff and clients.

Abdirizak Ismail

Board Member

brings a strong academic background and commitment to community service. He holds an Associate of Science degree from Normandale Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Governors University. His knowledge of human behavior, combined with his dedication to supporting people in need, makes him a valuable contributor to the board’s mission and decision-making process.

Abdiaziz Hussein

Board Member

holds a B.A. in Psychology from Metro State University and brings over 6 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional and Mental Health Practitioner. Skilled in behavioral management, counseling, and therapeutic interventions, he contributes strong expertise in mental health rehabilitation and support for diverse communities.

Iftiin Somali Youth Organization

Fardowsa Ibrahim founded Iftiin Somali Youth Organization in 2016 after seeing the challenges Somali youth faced in school and in the community. As an immigrant and mother, she understood the struggles—working parents, lack of homework help, and kids slipping through the cracks.

With her background in community work and cultural liaison experience, Fardowsa created Iftiin to be a safe space where Somali youth can get academic support, mentorship, and guidance while staying connected to their culture and values.

Her vision is simple but powerful: empower the next generation to succeed in school, thrive in life, and never forget where they come from.
